Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson | Book Review

3:05 PM

Generally, I'm highly put off by people that describe themselves as oh-so-weird-oh-so-different for the main reason that 99,99% of the time, they are absolutely normal and have nothing crazy to share other than that time they said good night to someone while it was still 9 a.m. But oh, not Jenny Lawson. Not this girl. Jenny Lawson is that 0,01%.

Jenny is the blogger behind TheBloguess.com and she has had a bit of a weird life. Having grown up in Texas with a taxidermist father in a not so wealthy household situation, the writer has quite a number of funny anecdotes in her repertoire. Let's Pretend This Never Happened is mainly a reunion of those stories, which allows the reader to have a look into Jenny's unbelievable upbringing and life story.

This book is hilarious. There are several moments that had me laughing out loud. Not chuckling.
Laughing. Out. Loud. Even the sad and tense moments, which were still there, have a sense of humor and are told in a light hearted manner. This is the perfect book to read when you need to get out of a grumpy mood and have a laugh. Plain fun and easy. Sometimes that's all you need out of reading.
