Despite being a beauty blogger, Anna is responsible for a couple of my favorite recipe videos. One of them being this amazing cookie recipe, which I have baked twice in the span of a couple of weeks. I definitely recommend trying this one, it's a gooey on the inside, chocolate filled deliciousness.

Oh, as Anna says we can use whatever chocolate we prefer, I have been baking mine as a three chocolate cookie, mixing dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate, making it extra delicious and perfect for all tastes.

Although Gilmore Girls came to Netflix in other countries quite a while ago, only in July was it made available in Brazilian Netflix. And as soon as it did, I was all over it. 

Gilmore Girls has always been on my list of favorite TV shows, but even so, I had completely forgotten just how good it really was. There is not one episode I rewatch and don't completely fall in love with again. And it's just so much fun to see how many of the pop references I actually understand now that I didn't when I was little.

As you may know, I'm from Rio. Not only am I from Rio, but I have been, since I can recall, always incredibly drawn to watching every single sport possible of every single Olympics. This means the past couple of weeks has been intense. 

Despite my disagreance with the Olympics happening in Rio (an argument for some other time), watching so many incredible athletes coming together, doing the impossible, overcoming their own difficulties and struggles, is incomparable. Watching it happen right here in this city, was even better.

Now, to the Paralympics!

I'm certain by now you have definitely heard the Netflix 80's nostalgia series that is dominating the world, right? Everyone and their mothers have watched it. And there is good reason for it. It took me only two nights to watch from start to finish, completely immersed and addicted to the show.

The storyline goes into horror and suspense territory, with little Will's disappearance after a game of Dungeons and Dragons with his three best friends. But it also ventures into a story about love, friendship and family. 

The main characters, played by the four most adorable children on earth, are endearing and funny. Winona Ryder as Will's mother is incredible. The soundtrack, as an 80's soundtrack would be, on point. 

Even the fact that it is such a short series, with only 8 episodes in the first season, makes the show perfect, giving the story perfect pace to explore the characters, the mysteries, the horror and still leave us hanging and dying for the next season.

The lovely Lina nominated me for the Liebster Award and I, stupidly, didn't see it until recently! So here is my huge thank you to her and, if you haven't already, please do go check out her blog! Now to the answering the questions part! All other details and nominees will be below.

She's already huge, but I love Viviannadoesmakeup. I'm highly convinced that we would make great friends. I also absolutely adore Kayley Melissa. She was the first beauty vlogger I subscribed to way back when, I've learned every possible hair trick with her and, to this day, she is still one of my favorites.

The overall harm it does to our skin. The best of both worlds would be makeup that also serves as moisturizers, anti-acne, anti-aging, etc. 

Oh no, this is impossible. I'd say it's a tie between L'Oreal Paris True Match Concealer in Vanille, Bourjois' Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist and a Brazilian brand called Natura's mascara called Aquarela (I think) in Black.

Whenever I absolutely love something and feel the need to share it or think of something I wish someone had written about or whenever I'm angry or sad, those are the main motivational forces behind every post. Mostly I like creating a place I haven't yet found online, which combines all of my main interests, from the most frivolous to urgently important.

Currently, it would be incredibly interesting to have a sit down and honest chat with Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff. I cannot imagine being in her shoes right now. (Watch this and have a read here if you have no clue what I'm talking about.) On a less serious note, I would die if I ever met Selena Gomez. Or anyone Harry Potter related (Rowling herself or the cast).

I watch a LOT of Youtube videos and lately 90% of them have been Halloween-related. So I decided to compile some of my favorites from this year over here!

Kayley Melissa has been my favorite Hair-Stylist/Youtuber for years now. Everything hair related I've learned, I've learned with her.  Every year, she does a series of hair tutorials for Halloween costumes and this year's videos did not disappoint. Especially this one. I mean, come on.. Everyone wants that Trump style!

Quite similarly, Grace has been my favorite lady Youtuber since the dawn of time! I'm betting she's no stranger to #TeamInternet people either, since she has dominated the world in the past couple years. I love this stupid ass collab they make every year because it's as dumb as it is impressive and hilarious.

Laci Green is better known for her Sex+ Youtube videos (which I love). But she's well on her 3rd season of an online TV show for MTV called Braless. The show is overall great, as Laci known how to explore important issues clearly and thoughtfully without sounding utterly boring. Not differing from the show's awesomeness is this Halloween episode, which explores topics we see every October 31st in the streets, costume stores and parties. A must watch!

Statistics have told me that iiSuperwomanii, a.k.a. Lilly Singh, is one of the highest earning Youtubers today. Yet, I never really paid attention to her content until quite recently. Which is great because it was right on time for me to catch the masterpiece that was her latest sketch. It gave me all the chills.

And so it's March and this blogpost is a month late. But since it's been brewing in my head for the last 40 days or so, I'm making it anyway. I mean, it's my blog anyway, you're not the boss of me!

This New Year I made zero resolutions. I probably should have because maybe that would have given me a bit more direction than I am currently having in my life decisions, but that's another conversation entirely. However, I did begin the year with a great cleansing act:

I deactivated my Facebook page.

Now, I could go on and on about how irritating and time consuming Facebook is and many other reasons why I put such idea into practice, but what I want in this post is to show you the many great things we can do with our lives without Facebook and remind myself of how to consume my own personal time much better. So here it is, some of the things I did with my time without Facebook:

1. Read

I used to be an avid reader when I was younger. Soon enough, though, I found out about the internet and social medias and life was never the same again. My 20 books a year count became more and more 5, 4, 3... 1 book a year. This is a fact about me that I cry to at night. Now, as a half-grown up, doing college and an internship, time for books are that much more rare and when I have any, it's spent on boring huge ass Law school books. Getting rid of Facebook gave me the extra time to spend with what I had left to the side for so long: reading for actual FUN. Isn't that a lovely concept?

2. Visit friends - and actually pay attention to them

Whilst being without Facebook, I went to a number of social events which would have been priorly spent taking pictures or checking updates on my phone. In these, however, I only held on to my phone in case my parents gave me a call asking if I was still alive. And I had a humongous amount of fun. From being thrown into a pool to deep meaningful late night conversations to making brigadeiro and watching great movies on a night in, I was there at all times. (Well, maybe a little less when it was 4 a.m. and I was getting overly sleepy).

3. Explore your qualities (and inequalities)

I have never been a great artist or any bit talented in that aspect. But I did always love painting, drawing and creating in general. And just because you're not great at something doesn't mean you should never do it or that it can't make you happy. So I ended up picking some colored pencils and notebooks and doodling a bit. It was time that freakishly flew by. I can't even explain it. I guess I was so focused on what I was doing that I didn't notice it at all. 

4. Blog

So, yes, that is kind of cheating. Instead of tiny posts, I started making less frequent longer posts. Instead of following friends, I now follow great inspiring and entertaining bloggers and vloggers. However, I still think this is a fair trade. You see, on a Facebook post or comment there's little to no thought at all behind it and your "friends" many many times aren't even people you enjoy or care about, which end up summing up an empty and negative online experience. On the other side, blogging takes time, patience and lots of thought (especially if you want to do something nice, which is my case - though maybe it doesn't show, oops). It forces you to use day-to-day experiences as a basis of creativity for writing and photographing. And you only really follow and read the things you actually care about and enjoy which takes out a lot of the frustration and negativity towards people. That combination can only make you happier, really.

5. Practice

Maybe you're like me and you play an instrument. Maybe you're an athlete. Maybe you have a presentation to do or a job interview to go to. Whatever it is, you now have extra time to practice them. Enjoy. Facebook and the 500 self centered posts a day would never make you grow as much as investing your time in bettering your skills.

6. Study

I have no clue how much time of studying I lose over Facebook, but I'm 100% sure it's a hell of a lot! Plus, I don't think I need to go on about how studying is good and important, right? Yeah, let's just do it, peeps.

7. Think

Over the course of the 25 days I spent without Facebook, thinking was my most prominent activity. Sure, it was mostly thinking about my ex-boyfriend and that's not really healthy thinking, but some of it was also thinking about what to do with my life, what I want to become, where I want to go and how I want to be and if I was doing what I needed to get there. Answer: no, I'm not. But I'm trying to change that and hopefully I'll blog about it soon enough. Keep your fingers crossed!! Anyways, I invite you to turn off your social media accounts and evaluate your life, goals and the path you need to cross to get there. If you do, mind sharing? I'd love some inspiration.

I have no clue why but I thought this would be fun to do. I use a macbook and my most used websites show up on the grid whenever I open a new tab on Safari. I've noticed recently that my most used websites have suffered quite a change over the years and thought it would be fun to keep some sort of track to it. I guess this could become sort of a weird geeky tag if anyone else feels like this is fun and I made up a lame name so.. that's complete. All I need now are people reading and thinking this is a good idea.... lol. 

So here it goes. Currently my top sites are the following, from top to bottom, left to right:

1 - My blog. How self centered of me.

2 - The Blogger page. I know it's a plain google login page and there are 2 of those, but that's what you get when google dominates the world. This one is the blogger page. Promise.

3 - Youtube. Because who needs TV or older sister's when you an infinite amount of entertainment and tutorials at your disposal.

4 - Whatshouldwecallme tumblr. For the lols.

5 - AnythingDiz. I'm a complete and utter Disney girl. I like keeping up with the disney kids and knowing all about the new disney movies and even new amousement parks attractions. Even if I am 20 years old. Judge me.

6 - Baixartv.com. This is where I get to watch all the TV goodies that don't show up on my TV (or if they do, it's usually months in delay and who can wait for anything today when we have Tumblr and  spoilers and, most commonly, both at the same time) because I live in country that only loves soap operas and annoying TV show hosts.

7 - Comoeumesintoquando tumblr. A Whatshouldwecallme brazillian rip off. For the national lols.

8 - My own tumblr. Seriously. How self centered can a person be?

9 - Gmail. Because communication.

10 - The New York Times. This is my home page. I like to pretend I read the news. It makes me feel better and worse at the same time.

11 - O Globo. This is one of the biggest national news corporation, I guess. I generally like to use it for the lols too whenever I get bored with 4 and 7 fail. The prejudice, the bad writing, the late news giving, the conceitedness and the tardiness on the beauty posts guarantee all the lols. Or just make me angry. Or both.

12 - Zoella's blog. I've been reading this a lot lately, I have years of reading to do since I only discovered her last year..

Well, that's it. I don't know if that was at all enjoyable. But I'd like to see other people do this, it's interesting, insightful into someone's personality and day-to-day life and would be nice to discover new websites to visit too! (:

You know all those multiple times when we stare at our phones every 5 minutes waiting for something, anything even though we know absolutely nothing will happen? Why the hell do we do that? Or when we carry them around as if it were another organ, only it's outside our body instead of hidden inside? Why do we act as if that person is going to call and stare at our phones and check our whatsapps every damn second? Why do we delude ourselves? Why do we act as if it's so ridiculously important and as if we were expecting the most life changing call or text or whatever it is? We know it's not going to happen and we just lie to ourselves. 

Exactly this second I have my phone laying neatly near my laptop, screen up, although it's 11 p.m. on a Sunday and I'm dead sure no one is going to talk to me at this time and day. I have checked it twice while writing this post which I have only spent about 15 minutes writing up to now. Why do we do this? Do we actually think we're that important? Or that something life-changing will come from our cellphones? Do we believe truly that it is so necessary that we carry it around everywhere? Or are these all just signs that psychiatrist are right and we have grown up to the worst attention spans and the worst abilities to be on our own?

Or maybe I'm the only crazy cell-phone neurotic? Nah. Impossible.

Since I've been having quite a crappy end of the year and today marks the last 5 days of that, I decided to focus on the better, happier, more enjoyable parts of 2014. What that means issss... I intend of doing one top 5 list every day until the end of the year regarding a bunch of different random topics that made my year a pretty damn good one. Because time is better spent thinking about and celebrating the good memories than moping about the ones that aren't going to happen anymore. Right? Yeah.

So this year I have started following a bunch of different youtubers. I already used to watch the big guys, you know, Jenna Marbles and such.. but I started to explore the youtube community better and found some entertaining and lovely people. I succumbed to youtube, like I succumbed to TV when I was 10. I even subscribed to a lot of them!

5. Charlieissocoollike

Many of you may know him from his Challenge Charlie videos or maybe as the dude who does pretty awesome duets with himself or as the best friend and roommate of Alex Day (a.k.a. the guy who read the Twilight books online). I'm gonna be honest here and say I have no recollection as to how I met Charlie. It probably was one of those internet blackholes you get sucked into that starts out as watching cooking videos and end up with learning how to wash your dog.

Anyway, Charlie got me with his adorableness, nerdiness, british accent and lovely simple science videos. However, recently he's been slacking. Okay, that might be mean. He has been trying to make actual short films (he has put two of them online and they're pretty neat, I mean, it's a youtuber doing actual movie quality work - I clearly forgot how to phrase things haven't I?) and he is one of those youtubers that care a lot about putting his best work out for the viewers. But at the same time, I feel as if he lost a bit of his... thing. I don't know, maybe it's because I feel like youtube is not meant for perfect videos or because he's now a grown up, but his videos don't feel the same.

Still he has been one of my consistent favorites and I have always gotten excited to see what he will bring with his new videos so.. For that he's on this list. For consistently entertaining me and keeping me excited.

4. Letsmakeitup1 (now KayleyMelissa)

Kayley is a beauty guru. Better yet, she's a hair guru. This year I have learned a million hairstyles and it's all thanks to this lovely lady. I love her videos basically because she's super sweet, her videos involve a lot of braiding (which is my favorite), and she gives actual technical and scientific based advice since she went to Cosmetology School. I love love love her hair styles and she makes them pretty manageable for beginners, like me! Plus, her hair is quite similar to mine which gives me a good idea as to how it will look like in the end.

3. Sprinkleofglitter

Louise is also a beauty guru. She is also a mom, a wife, possibly the world's greatest best friend to Zoe, an Adele look alike and a funny adorable woman. I have to say that her style doesn't really match mine at all, but the girl has such an amazing spirit that she made me fall in love with her. Louise basically is everything you need to feel better and also everything you need to realize the world is full of crazy, adorable, funny people. Her videos go from mommy-esque themed to beauty hauls to random babbling to funny collaborations and I love every minute of it. She also has a daughter called Darcy who is frequently in her videos and is equally adorable. 

2. Zoella

I found Zoe through one of her Primark hauls, since I kind of love Primark. Basically, Zoe is supposed to be a beauty guru but she ends up doing so many different types of videos that it gets all really entertaining and not all boring or forced like many beauty gurus can get. Her videos are very nicely edited and somehow the girl does everything well. I got to a point where I got so obsessed that I watched every single one of her youtube videos, from oldest to newest, which was quite interesting since you can definitely see her growing and maturing and becoming who she is (the quality of the videos evolve a lot as well, I might note). She is adorable, nice, tiny (I like that cause I'm tiny and I like getting new ideas of how to style things when they're all generally too big for me) and has great taste. Or at least I think so. Her videos are lighthearted and cute, I don't even know how many hours I spent watching them (many of those hours were right when I should be studying too). Another awesome thing about Zoe is she is pretty open about her own problems (as open as anyone will be on the internet, really) and you get the feeling she's a real freaking person and her life isn't all perfect and that only makes you love her more and more. 

I also should say she hangs out with a bunch of other great youtubers (like adorable Louise mentioned above) who have awesome channels and they all collaborate all the time and their videos together tend to be hilarious. They seriously have gotten me to laugh when I only wanted to cry about a million times. 

1. DailyGrace

DAILYGRACE IS GONNA TEACH YOU - HOW TO - DO SOMETHING - DING! Seriously, favorite youtuber ever in the history of ever, I would freak out as if I were meeting Ryan Gosling if I ever saw Grace in real life. The girl is hysterical in that awkward cute way you and your best friend are when you're together. She posts videos monday through friday, every day is a new theme (Miscellaneous Monday, Comment Tuesdays, Review Wednesdays, How To Thursdays and Sexy Friday) and every day is Is-Grace-totally-drunk game day! I swear to you, Grace will make you laugh, she does not fail. And she does while looking pretty, while drunk, while uninspired, while cooking, while sexy, while giving you a lecture, while talking about pop culture and while looking like she just got out of bed. She's like youtube comedy super woman. 

Grace, by the way, just like Louise and Zoe, is a part of a really awesome group of friends. Her bestest friends consist of Mamrie Hart and Hannah Hart (respectively You Deserve a Drink and My Drunk Kitchen), also big comedic geniuses, and no one in the world should miss out on the hilarity of this trio together.

In all seriousness though, I used DailyGrace videos as motivation to study (read 5 pages, watch a video), relaxing time and let's-not-cry-about-your-ex-boyfriend-time. I owe Grace a bunch of laughs and a big hug. She's funny and she makes you feel like it's okay to be nuts every once in a while. She also doesn't have any more fucks to give, which only makes it all more fun.
